KVKK CLARIFICATION TEXT

As The Regret Wall (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform"), we attach great importance to the protection and security of our users' personal data in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). This clarification text has been prepared to explain the methods of collecting, processing, and transferring your personal data, as well as your rights.
1. Data Controller
The Regret Wall has the status of data controller with respect to personal data collected through the platform. Our platform is built upon anonymity.
- •Your submissions are entirely anonymous by default.
- •Linking a profile or creating an account is completely voluntary.
- •Email addresses shared when contacting support are kept strictly confidential.
2. Processed Personal Data and Purposes of Processing
We process certain technical data to ensure the security of our platform, prevent spam/abuse, power AI interactions, and fulfill our legal obligations.
- •Identity and Contact Data: Username and email address provided upon account creation.
- •Usage and Transaction Security Data: In-app interactions, IP address, browser details, submitted regrets, and message contents from AI/persona chats.
- •Purposes of Processing: Ensuring platform security (DDoS protection), AI Guardian moderation analysis, facilitating AI and persona chat flows, providing personalized services, and remembering user preferences (language, theme).
3. Transfer of Processed Personal Data
Your personal data is never sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes, except to comply with legal obligations. However, we work with trusted partners to analyze traffic, generate AI responses, and show relevant advertisements.
- •Google AdSense & Analytics: Anonymous usage data may be shared via cookies for traffic analysis and personalized ads.
- •Database Provider (Supabase): Hosted securely in our database and authentication infrastructure.
- •AI API Providers: Chat messages are transmitted to external AI models completely anonymously, without sharing any user profile or identity details, solely to generate responses.
- •Legal Requests: Data may be shared with authorized public institutions in response to official legal demands.
4. Method and Legal Basis of Personal Data Collection
Your personal data is collected entirely through electronic channels when you visit the Platform, create an account, share a regret, or contact us.
- •Collection Method: Browser cookies, registration forms, and regret submission interfaces.
- •Legal Basis: Based on the legal grounds of legitimate interest of the data controller, establishment and performance of a contract, and your explicit consent under KVKK Article 5.
5. Your Rights Under KVKK Article 11
As a data subject, you can exercise your rights regarding your personal data by contacting our support team or sending us an email.
- •Learn whether your personal data is processed,
- •Request information if processed, and learn whether it is used in accordance with the purpose,
- •Request correction of incomplete or incorrect data,
- •Request erasure or destruction of your personal data under the terms of KVKK.
