Our principles ensuring community safety, minor protection, and responsible custody of intimate reflections.
Zero Tolerance (Rejected)
Suicide, self-harm, child exploitation or pedophilia, terror propaganda, and organized violence are permanently prohibited and rejected.
+18 Sensitive Confessions (Protected)
Sexual reflections, adult relationships, and raw personal grief are preserved, but shielded behind verified adult (+18) access.
1. Zero-Tolerance Safety Policy (Strictly Prohibited Content)
The Regret Wall is an anonymous sanctuary for sincere human regrets and reflections. However, content that poses a direct threat to individuals or the community is strictly prohibited and instantly rejected by our automated safety systems:
- Suicide, self-harm, or encouragement of self-destructive acts
- Pedophilia, child exploitation, or any minor-related sexual depictions
- Terrorism, violent extremism, or facilitation of dangerous acts
- Severe hate speech, direct harassment, doxxing, or physical threats
2. Adult & Sensitive Content Governance (+18)
Human reflections frequently involve adult relationships, sexual remorse, infidelity, and intimate grief. These are not erased, but responsibly classified under "+18 Sensitive Content":
- Sensitive confessions are shielded behind an access gate for minors and unauthenticated guests.
- Only signed-in accounts verified as 18 years of age or older can reveal and view sensitive confessions.
- Adult users can toggle the "+18 Filter" at any time to hide or display adult confessions in their feed.
3. Age Verification & Immutable Birth Date
User age status is calculated dynamically from the birth date provided during account setup. To prevent circumvention and protect minors, the birth date becomes immutable once entered.
- Adult users (+18) display a static "Plus +18" badge on their profile.
- Minors under 18 display an "Age Group: Under 18" label.
- If a birth date was entered incorrectly, users may contact our support team via email to request assistance.
4. 10-Minute Undo & Account Claiming
To protect user privacy and allow immediate regret correction:
- A 10-minute "Undo & Edit" grace period is provided immediately after sharing, allowing you to retract the submission and restore it to your input field.
- Confessions shared as a guest generate a secure, temporary claim token so you can claim them into your verified account upon registration.
